Equestrian Senior Portraits in Alachua Florida with Franchesca and Clover

Alachua Florida senior poses with her horse

There’s something really special about helping a high school senior mark this season of life with their horse, and Franchesca’s session with her mare Clover was one of those sessions that just felt easy from start to finish. And Clover made sure of that. She was such a good girl and willing to do absolutely anything we asked of her, which made the entire experience that much more fun.

We photographed her equestrian senior portraits in Alachua, Florida, where her family recently settled after making the move from Alaska. Trading snowy landscapes for old Florida oak trees, long driveways, and warm southern light is quite the change, but it’s clear they’ve created something beautiful here with their horses.

Franchesca is part of the Class of 2026, graduating this coming May, and wanted a session that reflected both her personality and her life with Clover. She chose two looks that worked perfectly with the setting. One was a soft, flowy dress that complemented Clover beautifully and gave us that light, natural feel in the pasture. The second was a more polished blazer look that felt classic and elevated, especially along the tree-lined driveway where we spent part of the evening photographing.

As a horse photographer serving Alachua, Gainesville, St. Augustine, and all of Northeast Florida, I always start with a pre-session consultation so we can map out the vision ahead of time. Franchesca’s family really leaned into that process. They came prepared, understood the goals for the session, and it made the entire experience smooth and enjoyable from beginning to end.

At their viewing and ordering appointment, Franchesca and her family selected a collection of their favorite images to use for graduation announcements and to create prints for their home. I love when families choose images they can live with and enjoy every day, especially during a season that goes by as quickly as senior year.

If you’re planning ahead for your own equestrian senior portraits in Alachua, Gainesville, St. Augustine, or anywhere in Northeast Florida, now is the time to start the conversation.
