EEEEEK! I Received a SaddleBox and My Horse and I Loved It!

I get excited about the little things… pretty easily actually, but recently I received a SaddleBox in the mail and it was no little thing.

As an equine photographer, and equestrian business owner of Fast Horse Photography, I find that I spend more time behind the camera and not enough time with my horses. This little gift has been a fun way to spend time with my horse and spoil him just a little bit before and after our rides.

Everything from the packaging to the equine and equestrian products, and horsey gifts inside, were adorable.

Let’s start with the packaging. I’m a sucker for cute packaging. I've been known to switch shampoos for the sole reason that one bottle was a little bit more adorable than the other. The SaddleBox shipping box was perfect. It had a little heart on top too that said it was packaged by Melissa. Nice little touch there and for the record, Melissa you did a great job.

When I opened the box, the contents inside were wrapped with a colorful tissue and sitting right on top was a personal note from the sender. I’m not gonna lie… it gave me a big smile. I hadn’t even made it to the really cool stuff inside yet and here I am already grinnin’ from ear to ear.

The box was jam-packed full of horsey stuff, both for me AND my horses. Inside I found horse shampoo (the bottle was cute and you already know from above that I like that sort of thing), a scrubby bath sponge, a bucket brush, a couple of different types of treats and horse candy, socks, and several other items. I need to add that the horse treats smelled like something you’d want to eat yourself. If I didn’t have barn mates standing around I might have given them a little taste test myself.

Just when I thought I reached the end of the box I found a couple special things that were just the icing on the cake. The first was a sticker that’s going to be perfect on the tailgate of my horse trailer and the second was a little educational “horse tip” card. This one was about the anatomy of the horse’s hoof.

The last part of the SaddleBox, and one of the most important to me, is that right on the inside of the box I got to meet the rescue horse that this subscription box helped. SaddleBox is proud to support horse rescues, shelters, and equine adoption centers across the United States. So it turns out that I got a great gift AND Stella (that’s the rescue horse that my box mentioned) got a little support too!

SaddleBox was a lot of fun and I’ll definitely plan on gifting it again in the future… and maybe someone will gift me another sometime soon too!
