A Day on the Farm: Capturing Jillian's Love for Her Animal Family
In the heart of the St. Augustine, Florida countryside, I had the wonderful opportunity to capture a special day in the life of Jillian, a vibrant teenager with an unwavering love for her animals. This wasn't just any photography session; it was a journey through Jillian's little world, a farm blooming with life and love.
Jillian’s farm is a wonderland for animal lovers like me, home to two pretty horses, two adorable miniature horses, three hilarious goats, and an adorably quirky potbellied pig. Each animal, with its unique personality, had a moment to shine!
Our session was meticulously planned to showcase the bond Jillian shares with her animal friends. With two look changes, we aimed to capture the essence of her personality and her connection with each of her beloved critters. The first look was a casual, farm-girl style, (think little-bo-peep) resonating with the natural beauty of the setting. The second was all cowgirl which worked beautifully against the open farmland at sunset.
Adding to the magic of the day, Kira from Onsite Muse provided professional hair and makeup services, ensuring Jillian looked her best. Her natural beauty, enhanced by Kira’s skillful touch, completed each look to perfection.
As we worked around the farm, the rapport between Jillian and her animals was evident. The horses nuzzled affectionately, the goats frolicked around playfully, and the pig, ever so curious, added a touch of humor to the session. It’s obvious that these animals are so loved and bring incredible joy to Jillian’s life.
A few weeks after Jillian’s equine photography session, we met at my studio for her viewing and ordering appointment, a special moment where Jillian, joined by her mother and two grandmothers, relived the beautiful day. Their reactions to the images were heartwarming – smiles and laughter were abundant. Together, we selected the perfect images to be transformed into gorgeous wall art, ensuring that the memories of this day would adorn the walls of their home, a constant reminder of the love and joy shared on the farm.
