Capturing Timeless Equestrian Beauty: Christina’s Photography Session in Eustis, FL

Creative Consultation - A Vision Comes to Life

Several weeks before the actual photography session, I had the pleasure of visiting Christina at her beautiful home in an equestrian community in Eustis, Florida. During our creative consultation, Christina shared her vision for her equine portraits. She showed me the specific space in her home where she hoped to display the portraits of her beloved horses. We took pictures of the wall space and measurements, ensuring that the artwork we were about to create would not only fit perfectly but also enhance the beauty of her home.

Fast forward to the session day, and it was a whirlwind of activity. In just about an hour and a half, we managed to capture the essence of Christina’s equine family. Dexter, the 20-year-old gelding, Duke, the 19-year-old Thoroughbred, and the playful mini horses, Candy and Clark, all had their moments to shine against the elegant black studio backgrounds.

The session wasn't just about the horses. The equestrian family portrait with Christina, her husband David, their rescue dog Alexander included Dexter and Duke. We also captured a few images of her daughters, Jessica and Victoria with their sweet pups. The softening sunset light provided a perfect backdrop, adding a natural, golden glow to the photographs.

The culmination of this photograph experience was the viewing and ordering appointment with Christina. It was a moment filled with emotion as she saw the finished portraits for the first time. The excitement continued as we created wall art for her home and a couple of beautiful metal prints for her barn. These prints not only commemorated her equine companions but also added an artistic touch to the barn, blending functionality with aesthetic appeal. Metal prints have been a lovely addition to many barns across the state of Florida.

My Dream

“My dream has always been to have professional pictures taken of my horses. I was lucky to find Cara with Fast Horse Photography to help me make my dream come true. I would highly recommend Cara she is professional and knows exactly what to do when taking pictures of horses.”

In just a short time, we captured memories that will last a lifetime. Christina’s session is a testament to the fact that with proper planning and a clear vision, stunning equine photography can be both efficient and deeply meaningful. The artwork created will now adorn the walls of her home and barn, a constant reminder of the love and bond she shares with her horses.

P.S.: As a funny aside, it seemed Candy and Clark were keen on making the most of their time in the spotlight, often engaging in playful antics that brought laughter and joy to the session. It’s these adorable moments that often make for the most cherished memories!
