Several weeks before the actual photography session, I had the pleasure of visiting Christina at her beautiful home in an equestrian community in Eustis, Florida. During our creative consultation, Christina shared her vision for her equine portraits. She showed me the specific space in her home where she hoped to display the portraits of her beloved horses. Sometimes when a horse has lived a good long life, saying goodbye, becomes a process of a lot of little things. Extra treats each morning that you are greeted with his nicker. Scratches in all his favorite spots. Watching daily for a sign that he is ready to go. Agonizing over making the call at the right time.
