The Most Criminally Under-Photographed Age for Horse Kids

We photograph the baby years, when every expression feels new. We photograph senior year, when suddenly there are graduation announcements to order and college plans to make. But those years in between? Not so much. If I had to name the most criminally under-photographed age for horse kids, it would be ten to twelve. These are the middle years. Kids are no longer little, but they aren't teenagers yet. Their personalities are getting bigger, their interests are becoming their own, and they suddenly have strong opinions about almost everything. They may also be deeply concerned about looking cringe, which is not always helpful when someone suggests scheduling professional portraits.
