Jacqueline and Excalibur: Capturing Equestrian Grace in Fernandina Beach

From Artful Portraits to Liberty Shots

I’m so excited to finally be able to share a recent Fast Horse Photography equine photography session, featuring Jacqueline and her Friesian horse, Excalibur. As a photographer I immediately fell in love with his impressive mane and tail which I know must be so much work for Jackie to maintain and keep is such gorgeous condition.

Our session unfolded in Fernandina Beach, FL, beginning with studio portraits against a black background we created in a nearby barn. These initial shots highlighted the striking features of Excalibur and Jacqueline's connection with her horse. The session then transitioned with a wardrobe change to outdoor portraits, utilizing the natural greenspace and trees to frame horse and human moments, capturing their partnership and mutual trust.

The finale of our session was in a small paddock, where we took liberty shots, showcasing Excalibur's freedom and spirit. The outcome of this session was not just a series of digital photographs, but equine wall art! Jacqueline selected a standout image for a framed Guild canvas, now beautifully displayed over her fireplace mantle in Ocala, FL.
