Featured in Western Horseman Magazine: Florida Ranching at Cracker Swamp Cattle Co
I’m thrilled to share that my images were featured in the July 2025 issue of Western Horseman Magazine as part of an article written by Kate Bradley Byars. The story highlights the incredible ranching legacy of the Counts family at Cracker Swamp Cattle Co, right here in Northeast Florida.
It was an honor to photograph Jody and Jet Counts, their family, and their day-to-day life working cattle on land that’s been part of Florida ranching history for generations. The article also shares about Jody’s wife Emily, who runs Iris Equine, a local large animal veterinary service that plays a huge role in our rural community.
Being able to tell the story of real Florida cowboys through my lens, and to have that story published in Western Horseman, a magazine I grew up reading, is something I’ll never forget. It’s a continuous dream of mine to help highlight local equestrians and those working in the industry right here where I live and ride my own horses.
You can find the article in the July 2025 print edition of Western Horseman.
