Sometimes, in the course of my journey as an equine photographer, I get the opportunity to photograph a horse that I have photographed before with a previous owner. It was very exciting to meet Ari and learn that her beloved and GORGEOUS horse, Flicka, had been in front of my camera many years before. Ari and Flicka have a lovely bond that was a joy to capture as part of Ari’s equestrian senior portraits. Her session was held at The Florida Agricultural Museum on one of the very last days of Spring wildflowers before they burned away in the Florida heat.

Scratches in all his favorite spots. Watching daily for a sign that he is ready to go. Agonizing over making the call at the right time.

When her heart horse, Skip a gorgeous buckskin, came into her life she just knew she needed a companion piece to the one we created in the past. I was excited to work with Tina again and couldn’t wait to spend a little time in her positive energy and in the path of her big smile! Not to mention… Skip is such a gorgeous boy!

Once a horse girl, always a horse girl. That’s how I felt when watching the connection between Kenzie and her pony Nemo as they interacted in front of my lens. We knew from the initial planning of their session that the focus would be on highlighting their relationship and celebrating how far Kenzie has come in the early days of her hopeful equestrian career. She was excited to be finished with her high school curriculum and ready to be headed on to the next stage of her adult life.

I get excited about the little things… pretty easily actually, but recently I received a SaddleBox in the mail and it was no little thing.
